Phi Theta Kappa Induction

I was picked a year ago to be a part of the prestigious Phi Theta Kappa organization.    I think I got nominated for it by being on the Dean's list for a few semesters in a row.  When I asked the coordinator how you get on it, she told me it was related to GPA and by nomination only.  Phi Theta Kappa is an International Academic Honor's Society for the community college level.  According to their website, their mission statement is:

"The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence."

I feel honored to be a part of this organization, and can forever  have it on my resume for future career opportunities. :o)  It is also going to help me when it comes to transferring to SDSU next fall.  Yay me!  Nick videoed me signing my name in the member book and getting my certificate.  Enjoy!
