Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Wow, it doesn't seem like a year since last thanksgiving. Last year at this time, Nicholas and I had only been dating for 3 months and I already knew that I wanted to marry him. This year, we are happily married and celebrating all of our "firsts" together. One of the "firsts" is today... and I am so thankful that we are sharing it together.
Tonight we are going to my parents' house for dinner, and I can't wait! I love getting together with my whole family (including my grandma, aunt, and cousin). It is a great time to fellowship with one another and eat some yummy food. On the menu tonight is turkey ,mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, veggies, pie, olives, salad, and more! Nicholas and I are responsible for the sweet potato casserole and olives... anyone have any good recipes?
I want to end with some things I am thankful for....
1. My Husband, Nicholas... he is the love of my life, and I will love him for always
2. My family and friends.... they are so supportive and without their love and help I would not be who I am today
3. I am thankful that God protected our town so much during the recent fires, the fire got 2 blocks from our house but we are safe and sound
4. I am thankful for living in such an amazing country, where we have so many freedoms.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. As you go throughout this day and week, try and think of everything you can be thankful for, and don't look at the negative. So often we focus on the "bad" things in life, when in fact we have so much more good.
Just think about it.

A new commitment
Hi, if you don't know me, I am Heather. I just got married, and life is amazing. Welcome to my blog!
Ok, ok so I know I haven't posted anything since may but I am making it a goal to blog post every day, ok... maybe every other day. But, I will be a regular blogger now. I sure have enough things to talk about, I am a chatter box.
So, welcome to my blog. I hope you enjoy my thoughts. My husband Nicholas is actually the one who inspired me to do this... and he is a regular blogger. I love reading his blog too, and am honored when he writes about me. Keep up with him at http://www.pdsys.org/blog/
Please leave comments and have discussions with me on topics. This should be fun!
Adios for now~
