Some people are so stupid

So Nicholas took me to the Oceanside Pier to enjoy the ocean. He then took me to dinner at Ruby's at the end of the pier for our six month anniversary (Boy has time flown!!!) The food was great, and here are some pictures:

Anyway, what I really wanted to talk about was the fact that some people just don't know how to drive. There was a crosswalk and a stopsign for the cars. A man was crossing on the pier side and we were crossing over to the pier side. We both started walking across, and a car that was approaching the stop sign decided not to stop and kept driving until half way through the crosswalk. At this point, she HAD to stop because of the man walking across (who had started walking BEFORE she even got to the stop sign she was supposed to stop at.). At this point she rolls down her window and says to the man, Nick, and me, "Doesn't anyone know how to walk these days? People need to watch wheir their walking!" She looked so upset! I (like most times) spoke exactly what was on my mind and just shouted back to her as she drove off, "PEDESTRIANS ALWAYS HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY... THIS IS A CROSSWALK!!!!!"

Hahahaha! I can't believe how stupid this lady was. She was yelling at us for crossing at the crosswalk after she blew through a stop sign and didn't give us the right of way that was legally entitled to us. DUH. Talk about not only being stupid and inconsiderate, but breaking laws as well.

really random dinner experience

What a wild night in the kitchen. Never before have I run out of burners in the oven while cooking dinner.

One pan had an olive oil/garlic sauce, another speghetti, another chicken, another with sauteed mushrooms, and one more with steaming carrots.

I was trying to replicate a Sam the Cooking Guy recipe, but sort of mixed up 2 recipes together and combined them. It was sort of funny though, because the end result turned out really good... and Nick wanted me to write down the recipe. :P

1. Speghetti-boil regular speghetti noodles as directed on package

2. sauce was merely a half cup olive oil with some garlic that you add when the oil is not too hot (don't want to burn it!- I did!).

3. Cook chicken with cajan seasoning or hot shot as a coating and chop into cubes. Add to the pasta/sauce

4. In a separate pan chop mushrooms into slices and put in a pan with a couple splashes of Worschestier sauce. Let it marinate in it and cook down... absorbing the W. sauce.

5. Eat the mushrooms on the side or mix into the pasta/chicken goodness. Carrots are your veggie. :)

It isn't the prettiest thing in the world, but it tasted dang good!

New Phone/Provider

So, Nick has been bugging me for the past couple months, wanting to get the iphone. I have been pretty firm saying no, trying to stick to a budget, etc... but I couldn't handle it anymore. It was causing conflict in the relationship.

So, today I broke down and we went to ATT and got set up on their plan. We came out with a new contract and yes, an Iphone for Nicholas, as well as a regular phone for me. (MY PHONE IS PICTURED ABOVE)

Here are the pros:

-cheaper bill overall
-unlimited texting to ANYONE
-free calling to ATT people (which is my whole family)
-unlimited pic messaging, and i think im messages too
-didn't have to pay activation fee
-get a 15% discount on every bill (base bill, without messaging or iphone) just cause I go to palomar
-can upgrade/downgrade minutes at any time without affecting service
-Good customer service
-Nick will stop bothering me about the iphone and I can sleep in peace without feeling like a crappy wife

Here are the cons:
-only 700 minutes a month to non ATT (half what we used to have)
-most the people I talk to are Verizon
-Verizon people are not going to want to call or text me cause they will have to pay for it out of their minutes/texts now, so I am going to be a loner
-i can't picture message nick, because the iphone is stupid and doesnt know how to do pic/video texts yet (how retarded is that)
-my phone is gonna take some getting used to
-Nick is never going to talk to me anymore, he is going to be too obsessed with his new phone and how it can go on the internet... i basically just signed my husband away

Thats all I have to say now about it... we have 30 days to test it out and see if we like it. Nick's not giving up the iphone so we have to like it hehehe. I will post if anything else interesting comes up.
