Zoey Belle's 3 month post

Time continues to fly in the Head household. Mrs. Zoey Belle hit her 3 month marker on Monday already. I'm not sure how much she weighs or how long she is, but she's growing a TON! She's a sweetie pie and I'm loving having a girl. Here are some things that happened in the life of Zoey Belle this month.

She moved up to 3-6 months clothes when she moved into cloth diapers

She is talking and cooing hardcore

She was a flower girl in Auntie Hannah's wedding

We left her for the first time so we could go on the date when she was 10.5 weeks old

She responds with smiles and talking to Brodie and Nick more than any other person

We are working on tummy time (no rolling yet but she's getting close!)

She has been sitting up in the  bumbo like a big girl at 10 weeks

Zoey got to meet her Great-grandma (Zona) and Great-grandpa (Zonie) for the first time

She is learning to hold her binky in

She moved into her crib for the first night on her 3 month "day"

She got even more rolls (Brodie wasn't rolly at all so this makes me super happy!)

She went on her first vacation, which was a 4 day roadtirp up the coast of CA. She did AMAZING!

Brodie's 22 month post

My bug a boo is almost 2!  I can't believe time is going so quick. My mommy warned me that this would happen but I didn't believe her. I'm trying my best to soak up every little moment with my little man. Here are some highlights of this month:

*He has learned to count to 10

*We had lots of play dates with friends

*Brodie can officially find every letter of the alphabet if I ask him to get me one at random from a pile of letters. And, if i ask him what letter i am holding he can identify by saying the letter or doing the sound for all but v and z.

*He learned to climb out of his crib so we transitioned to a toddler bed on July 17th

*Became obsessed with thomas the train

*He cut open his chin

*Brodie was a ring bearer in Auntie Hannah's wedding

*He got to celebrate his 2nd 4th of July

*He discovered what a hammock is

*He helped me cook

*Developed his artistic side

*Had a mommy/son date

*He played outside

*Brodie is developing more pretend play (became a pirate, fixes cars, dresses up,etc)

*Fell asleep eating and drinking several times

*And of course, he loves his sister

Zoey's 2 Month Post

Zoey, I'm apologizing now for failing on posting your monthly updates on time. I apologize for not keeping as meticulous as records as I did with Brodie. Know I still love you just as much as him, but that I'm way more busy giving you adequate amounts of cuddles and kisses and love while chasing your brother around to always note when you do something new. You are amazing, and totally on track. I can't wait to see where you blossom next!

Baby girl, you are 2 months old today! We went to the pediatrician today and you weigh 12lb 11oz (92%ile), are 23.5in long (88%ile), and have a 15in circumference head (33%ile). That is a 5lb weight gain and a 4.25in length gain in just 2 months!!! You did great with your shots and are cuddling daddy as we speak. :)

Here are some highlights I did write down from last month, with pictures.

On June 26th, at just 6 weeks, you weighed 12lbs! In comparison your brother weighed about that amount at 5 months! You are my little chubster and I love it!

You went bowling with Daddy and me at HAH's 5 year anniversary celebration

You had your meet the baby tea hosted by mommy's friend Rose. :o) You were beautiful in your dress and everyone loved cuddling and loving on you. You are so special!

You are smiling all the time and love your brother.

You moved to cloth diapers june 29th, and they are SO dang cute on you. You are pretty happy about them too!

You helped daddy celebrate his 2nd father's day, his 1st with you. He is over the moon in love with you baby girl

And, you celebrated your first 4th of July. We had a pool party and you rocked an adorable swim suit from Auntie Heidi. You were cuddled by everyone there!

At 4 days before your 2 month day you started going 8-9hrs between your evening nursing session. After your "bedtime" feeding (which is somewhere in the 8:30-9:30pm range) you sleep until around 5:30am! This has resulted in a very rested me, since you are only getting up in the morning to eat and not in the middle of the night. And, the last 4 weeks before this you were already giving me a 6hr stretch at night every night! We are so blessed to have a great sleeper this time around.

You are growing up so fast I can't even handle it. I love you my sweet girl! :)

Love,
Mommy

Brodie's 21 month post! :)

Brodie Cole is 21 months old now. He is an absolute joy to be around and is a crazzzy boy that's for sure. He never stops moving but is so sweet and cute that I don't mind. :)

This month has resulted in a language explosion! Here are some new (just to this month) expressions/sentences that he uses VERY frequently.

*Daddy (or mommy/poppy/grandma/auntie/kitty/whoever) where r u?
*There it is.
*There they are.
*I love you!
*Mommy (or daddy/poppy/grandma/auntie/kitty/whoever) bye byeeeee.
*That's me!
*Mine!
*Clean up, clean up!
*Uh oh spaghettios!
*Here you go.
*Another one
*Next

*Night Night!
*More dance please.

*Hello...hello...bye (while on phone)
*Sister (CUTEST THING EVER!)

Brodie is an AWESOME big brother, and helps me out a lot. He will bring a blanket or a paci to Zoey all on his own if she's crying or he thinks she needs it.  He also dabs spit up off her chin with her outfit or a blanket if he notices it. As for me, he gets the boppy for me, gets her a diaper if I ask, and brings me my water while I'm nursing. It's so sweet to see him being such a big boy and a big helper.

My all time favorite thing that Brodie says is, "sister, love you!"  :) The first time he said it it MELTED MY HEART. I got a picture of him as he was saying it to her too.

Brodie is starting to pretend play. He pretends to feed his baby and rock his baby in swing (many times while I'm nursing). He also plays with cars and dances A TON. Oh, and he helps me "vacuum" with his popper toy. Best thing ever for him, loud for me :P

His favorite 3 shows are Super why, Blues Clues, and Elmo/Sesame Street. He sings along to all the songs in these shows and sits captivated watching them. He even asks for them and will turn on the TV to try and find them. It's interesting how much of an opinion he has already.

He is soooo smart too. He already counts to 10 (Nick taught him using fingers and toes). He has also learned all his letters in the last month. He can pick any letter out of a pile of letters if I ask him to find me one. He searches, picks it up and excitedly exclaims "THERE IT ISSSSSSSSSSSS!"

He can also say them. He:

Knows - a, b, c, d, e, f, g,  i, j, k, l, m, n, o, q, r, s, t, u, w, x
Says just sound of/recognizes- h, p, y
Doesn't know- V, Z (saying wise...he can find them in a pile if I ask him though)

I'm so impressed with the amount he is learning every day. I feel like this is a very fun stage of parenting to be in and look forward to the following months as we grow more. :) I can't believe in only 3 months he will be 2!!!

Zoey's 1 month old!

I can't believe  Zoey is already 1 month old. She has been such an easy baby for us. Even in the hospital and the first few nights home she didn't wake up at night to eat on her own...we had to wake her up. We freaked out the first night when she was home with us when I woke up at 5am and she was sleeping soundly. She nurses every 2 hours during the day and at night gives me around 4 hours in between feedings. I'm only getting up 2x max at night so I'm very happy about that.

Zoey is very laid back and loves her swing. She will sit in it content for hours. She also loves being held though, that's her favorite. She is a great nurser (Thank you LORD) and is happy to go along with whatever the rest of the family decides to do. She did her first "social smile" on June 10th, just 3 days before her 1 month birthday. That's sooner than Brodie did his which makes sense since girls like socializing more. Oh, and she's not in cloth diapers yet because her little legs are too skinny. :P Soon I hope.

Here are a few photos I've taken (I took a million others but won't post them because I'd overwhelm everyone with her cuteness hehehe).
